Submission Guidelines
Futures Trading values all manner of literary manifestations, especially if they're forward-facing in nature. We accept submissions of 3-5 prose and/or verse pieces. Our submissions are open year-round and we're fine with simultaneous submissions, provided you immediately notify us if your writing has been accepted elsewhere. Futures Trading publishes new writing and related content on a biannual basis (January and June). For more details regarding our thoughts on writing and the qualities we look for in submissions, see our interviews over at Six Questions For... and Red Fez.
Include your name and the titles of your pieces with each submission. Send it as a single .doc or .docx document to the following email address: futurestradinglit AT yahoo.com We usually respond to submissions within two months of receipt. If you receive no response after two months, feel free to contact us. Please limit submissions to three per year.
Futures Trading holds first serial rights for all published work. Upon initial publication in Futures Trading, authors may republish their pieces with an acknowledgement of the journal. Note that Futures Trading archives all content appearing on the website and publishes an annual print anthology of pieces appearing in the journal. Authors who do not wish to have their writing reprinted in the anthology should notify the editor upon initial acceptance. Finally, Futures Trading does not offer contributors payment for published work.
